RCQ de Groot
Over the years, RCQ de Groot has specialized in the production of Alchemilla, with the objective of stretching the season to deliver good quality between April to mid-January.
By extremely sharp planning in bringing forward and more particularly delaying (e.g. by planting 3 times) we can guarantee very tight production and ripeness. We are ‘always’ available!!
Because we mostly ‘breed off’ on water, with the benefits that brings, we can also offer good quality and the right length, even in more difficult times.
Most of the production (except for spring) matures outside and is only brought inside in the last phase, using rolling (foil) greenhouses. In this way, you get a hardy outdoor crop with a pure flower ripened indoors, protected from the elements.
By mainly cultivating from the soil we have no trouble with the typical monoculture issues, so we also spare the environment. This also means we meet MPS-A requirements, and when we add the SQ certification to that we will be able to supply Fair Flowers Fair Plants.
With Summerflowers we hope to bring supply and demand more in line with each other.
